Dr Mahalakshmi Ragunath (Maha) has been appointed as a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecology at Adora Fertility and continues to work as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at SJOG Midland.

Maha was trained in the UK, and obtained her specialist certification from the Royal College in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as special interest training in Subfertility, Assisted Conception and Laparoscopic surgery modules. Following Ob&G training which she went onto complete a postgraduate Master’s degree in Reproduction and Foetal Development from Bristol University. She was conferred with a Fellowship from the College (FRCOG) in 2010.

She has worked as a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecology for 12 years in the UK, and as Medical Director of CARE Fertility Nottingham, one of UKs largest private IVF Clinic with 1300 cycles per year. With her leadership the clinic went to be the top 5 clinics in the UK for its clinical pregnancy rates for women under 35 years of age.

Maha is skilled in all types of fertility treatment options including IUIs, Ovulation induction and IUI, Egg freezing, IVF treatment, egg donation cycles and surrogacy, with a special interest in the management of recurrent treatment failure, poor ovarian reserve PCOS and Male infertility. Above all, putting patients’ interests first and supporting them through a difficult time, is very important to her.

Having held a concurrent post as a Gynaecologist at Queens Medical Centre and Nottingham University hospitals she is proficient in managing all general gynaecological disorders, including Menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, PCOS and Fibroid uterus, and is an accredited Colposcopist.

Maha qualified from Madras Medical College, one of the top 100 Medical Schools internationally following which she went onto specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology there. Following this she moved to the UK to then go through a rigorous programme of O&G training with special skills training in Subfertility and Laparoscopic surgery.

She has been actively involved with teaching and training both in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has held the post of Editor of the subfertility section of the STratOG for over 8 years.

Having moved to Perth in 2019 to join family, she has been granted the FRANZCOG, is on the Specialist Register and is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at SJOG, Midland hospital.

Dr Gayatri Borude is a member of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Fertility Society of Australia (FSA). She is skilled in all aspects of assisted reproduction and IVF and has over 17 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Borude obtained her Master’s Degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from NTR University of Health Sciences India in 2002 with two gold medals for obtaining the highest marks in the University and State. In 2003, she went on to obtain the Diplomate of National Board of Examinations (OBGYN) from New Delhi, India. After migrating to Australia in 2006, she obtained her Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from RANZCOG in 2010. She completed her Masters in Reproductive medicine from the University of New South Wales in 2014. She joins us with extensive experience in IVF and ART.

Dr Borude offers comprehensive care for all types of female and male infertility including IVF, ICSI and surgical sperm retrieval. She has a special interest in minimal invasive surgery and has received advanced training in laparoscopic surgery culminating in Level 5 laparoscopy skills and offers a range of complex hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures.

Dr Sunny Baruah trained in London and Birmingham in the United Kingdom in 2006 as a Gynaecologist and started his career as a consultant at the renowned London Fertility and Gynaecology Centre in Harley Street, London prior to migrating to Perth in 2009.

Sunny is the Director of COEMIG (Centre of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynaecology) program based at Joondalup Private Hospital and has a particular interest in general gynaecology, advanced laparoscopic surgery and infertility. Sunny also has a keen interest in minimal access gynaecological surgery; is proficient in a wide range of complex laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries, being accredited to perform (level 5/6) advanced gynaecological laparoscopy surgeries; and is an accredited colposcopist.
