Dr Mahalakshmi Ragunath (Maha) has been appointed as a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecology at Adora Fertility and continues to work as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at SJOG Midland.

Maha was trained in the UK, and obtained her specialist certification from the Royal College in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as special interest training in Subfertility, Assisted Conception and Laparoscopic surgery modules. Following Ob&G training which she went onto complete a postgraduate Master’s degree in Reproduction and Foetal Development from Bristol University. She was conferred with a Fellowship from the College (FRCOG) in 2010.

She has worked as a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecology for 12 years in the UK, and as Medical Director of CARE Fertility Nottingham, one of UKs largest private IVF Clinic with 1300 cycles per year. With her leadership the clinic went to be the top 5 clinics in the UK for its clinical pregnancy rates for women under 35 years of age.

Maha is skilled in all types of fertility treatment options including IUIs, Ovulation induction and IUI, Egg freezing, IVF treatment, egg donation cycles and surrogacy, with a special interest in the management of recurrent treatment failure, poor ovarian reserve PCOS and Male infertility. Above all, putting patients’ interests first and supporting them through a difficult time, is very important to her.

Dr Gayatri Borude is a member of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Fertility Society of Australia (FSA). She is skilled in all aspects of assisted reproduction and IVF and has over 17 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Borude obtained her Master’s Degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from NTR University of Health Sciences India in 2002 with two gold medals for obtaining the highest marks in the University and State. In 2003, she went on to obtain the Diplomate of National Board of Examinations (OBGYN) from New Delhi, India. After migrating to Australia in 2006, she obtained her Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from RANZCOG in 2010. She completed her Masters in Reproductive medicine from the University of New South Wales in 2014. She joins us with extensive experience in IVF and ART.

Dr Borude offers comprehensive care for all types of female and male infertility including IVF, ICSI and surgical sperm retrieval. She has a special interest in minimal invasive surgery and has received advanced training in laparoscopic surgery culminating in Level 5 laparoscopy skills and offers a range of complex hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures.

Dr Shanthi Srinivasan is an experienced Gynaecologist, Obstetrician & Fertility Specialist who joined Adora Fertility in 2023, with over 20 years’ experience in reproductive medicine. She is passionate about all aspects of Subfertility such as Reproductive Endocrinology, Reproductive Surgery, Ultrasonography & Embryology.

Dr Shanthi graduated from Kilpauk Medical College Hospital in India. She completed advanced Obstetric & Gynaecological training in 1994 from the prestigious King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India. In 1995 she commenced as a Specialist and Lecturer at Sri Ramachandra Medical University in Chennai, India. There she worked for nearly 13 years’, gathering a vast amount of experience in complex pelvic surgery, Endoscopic Surgery, high risk Obstetrics, Gynaecological Ultrasound & Gynaecological Oncology. She is now a qualified Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine & Embryology, having trained at the Institute of Reproductive Medicine, Chennai, India before moving to Australia in 2008.

From 2010 to 2014, Dr Shanthi worked at the Royal Hobart Hospital in Tasmania in order to complete the requirements for her Fellowship, which she obtained from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology in 2014. Dr Shanthi went on to work as a highly respected Gynaecologist and IVF Specialist at PIVET where she worked for nearly 10 years before joining Adora Fertility.
